BQ76952: Sending 0x0098 to recover the OCD1 and OCDL fault is no effect

hi TI team,

I try to triger a OCD2 fualt and it also triger a OCDL fauly too.

When I sending a Sub command 0x0098 to BQ76952 in order to recover the OCDL fault,

The safety status A and alert C are not change to 0 but still are set.

it seem that the sub command is no effect.

would you please help to solve this. thank you very much!

Hi Allen,

Do you mean command 0x009B? 0x0098 is for REG12_CONTROL().

sorry, i make a mistake, right one is 0x009B OCDL_RECOVER

Hi Allen,

I just tested the OCDL_RECOVER command and it works correctly for me. It clears the OCDL condition. When you test it, did you remove the high current before trying to send this command?

Also, keep in mind the default OCD:Recovery Threshold is set to 200 mA (charging current). You can set this to a small negative value if desired, but you need to meet this threshold to recover from the OCD condition.
