TPS3850: Unused SENSE and RESETn pins + Potential Alternate for TPS3430

Hello,

I have 2 questions:

  1. What is your termination recommendation for unused SENSE and RESETn pins? 
  2. The above question is related to the TPS3430. If I can safely terminate SENSE and RESETn pins as unused, does the TPS3850 function exactly the same as a TPS3430?

    3. In addition to the above questions, when the TPS3850 SENSE and RESETn pins are terminated correctly if unused, could you please confirm if the TPS3850 is pin-to-pin compatible as the TPS3430?

    Hi Paulyn,

    1. What is your termination recommendation for unused SENSE and RESETn pins? 

                The SENSE pin can be tied to VDD rail and /RESET can be tied to GND.

            2. The above question is related to the TPS3430. If I can safely terminate SENSE and RESETn pins as unused, does the TPS3850                        function exactly the same as a TPS3430?

                Base on what I see on the datasheet, yes, the TPS3850 will perform similarly to the TPS3430.

                Technically speaking, they are p2p compatible.  See below:
