TPS92611-Q1: Could it add thermal sharing resistance like TPS92633

Part Number: TPS92611-Q1

Hi

Customer is evaluating our TPS92611Q1 and TPS92633Q1 product. I would like to ask that:

1. Could TPS92611Q1 also support adding thermal resistance like TPS92633Q1?

2. With the addition of thermal sharing resistors, is there any instability in the 92611?

3. Do we need to half the output current said in datasheet for TPS92611Q1 because of the thermal performance?

4. Is there any data/report for the EMC test of the two chips could provide to me?

Thank you !

  • Hi Zirui,

1&2.  Parallel resistors in TPS92611-Q1 are functioned like thermal sharing resistors here. No instability if you follow the 8.2.2 typical application on datasheet.

    3.  You can see from equation(8) that the LED current is not influenced by Rp.

    4. No public document available now. But you can refer to TI recommendation of the capacitors first.

    Best regards,

    Gracie
