TPS65253: documentation discrepancies in datasheet and EVM user's guide

1. I came across this forum post that covers one of my questions with regard to the pin nomenclature in the EVM user's guide. Any idea of when the EVM document will be updated?

Additional items:

2. The current limit calculations do not seem to match exactly what is in the datasheet and EVM user's guide. Both formulas have a fixed difference, but I will use one of them as an example. ILIM1 = 252/Rlim+0.6. If using the value of 59kΩ from the datasheet, the result is 4.87A, and not 5A.

3. Capacitor C5 on datasheet page 3 should be 10uF and not 10nF. Can you please confirm?

4. Should "pin 229"page 17 be "pin 22"?

5. If you revise the spec, please fix the typo in the first page, under features "Eenable".

6. The snubbers referenced in the EVM user's guide, R3, R4, C10, and C12, are not depicted in the schematic, although are present in the layout.

Can you please confirm whether the documentation will be fixed and by when? Can you confirm that our observations are correct, especially with regard to component values? My customer needs to update his schematic, but it is struggling with conflicting information.

1. There are some mistakes in the schematic of the user guide. I am looking for the right one.

2. I am aligning within my team to confirm whether the formula has mistake or the spec.

3. Yes, you are right. It should be 10uF. I will correct that.

5. Sure. I will correct that.

6.The schematic is the wrong one. I will correct that.

It may take a long time which may be around 2 months to update the documents since we should submit the change request, get others to help review and get approvals. The process is complex. Anyway, I will give you feedback once the documents are updated online. Before that, if you have any question, please let me know. Thanks.

The part was released ten years ago by another team, we did not find the original files. I have requested sample online and waiting for EVM to validate specs. I will feedback to you once I got the results.
