BQ28Z610: problems in commissioning the electricity meter (bq28z610)

Part Number: BQ28Z610

Hello:

At present, there are problems in commissioning the electricity meter (bq28z610) of tf928 project

1、When the golden learning discharge phase is completed, the values of gaugingstatus [rest], Qmax and update status are not updated. According to the requirements of the document, the discharge needs to be carried out with a current of 0.2C and discharged to 3V. At present, the electricity meter is attached to the mainboard. There is no way to discharge the current strictly according to 0.2C. and also there is no way to discharge to 3V. Is there any impact on this?

2、If golden learning has been completed, does golden learning need to redo after the electricity meter is disconnected from the battery?

  • Hello, Please help to solve this problem

  • Hi Jimmy,

Are you able to discharge at a lower rate like C/10? Or is the issue that you cannot go as low as C/5 rate? You do not need to redo the learning cycle after the meter is disconnected; however, it sounds like your electricity meter may be the reason you are not able to discharge at C/5-C/10 and down to 3V? If this is the case then I recommend configuring the gauge with the meter disconnected. If the gauge is already attached to the meter, you can get a separate gauge EVM to perform your gauging calibration and create a golden image. After that you could load your electricity meter gauges with the golden image.

    Best,
