LM5156H-Q1: PSPICE Transient model simulation

Part Number: LM5156H-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5156-Q1

Hi team,

My customer tried to simulate LM5156-Q1 on PSPICE for TI.

Customer uses below model which is downloaded from the product folder.

"Unencrypted LM5156-Q1 PSpice Transient Model Package (Rev. F)"

When they opened the schematic and run the simulation, below message was shown up and the simulation didn't start.

I recreated this situation in my PSPICE. Could you check if this model work in PSPICE for TI?

Regards,

Saito

  • Hi Takahiro,

as this model uses a imported model (as reported in the dialog box), the limited version of PSpice is activated.

This version does only allow to probe up to 3 signals - setting of up to 3 Markers.

But therefore at least one probe (and up to 3 Probes) need to be set in the schematic. So please try to set a probe (e.g. Voltage probe) in the schematic and try to rerun the simulation. If more then 3 Probes are set then only the first 3 are used but this is also reported in a dialog.

    Regards,

     Stefan

  • Hi Takahiro-san,

did you get all the required information, so that we can close this thread.

    Otherwise just let me know.

    Thanks,

     Stefan

  • Hi Stefan-san,

I set one probe in the schematic and I could see waveforms. I'm waiting customer feedback now, but I think it is okay to close this thread.

    Thanks,

    Saito
