TPS22975: If 3.3[V] is supplied to Pin Vin while TPS22975(NDSG) status is OFF, will there be a problem?

Part Number: TPS22975

Hello.

Currently using TPS22975(NDSG) Part, I have a question regarding operation.

Is there a risk of damage to TPS22975(NDSG) under the following conditions?

(This is a situation where 3.3[V] is applied to Pin VIN when TPS22975 is OFF.)

 1) VIN=3.3[V]

 2) VBAIS=0[V]

 3) ON=LOW(0) → VOUT=OFF

  • Hello Jaehak,

The device would not be damaged from it; however, that is not within the recommended operating conditions and it's possible to see unexpected behavior.

  • Thanks for your reply.

Since I'm concerned about the "unexpected behavior" you mentioned, I have an additional question.

    under the conditions below
If voltage (or leakage voltage) is output from Pin Vout and Pin VBIAS, it becomes a problem.
     1) VIN=3.3[V]
     2) VBAIS=0[V]
     3) ON=LOW(0) → VOUT=OFF

Is it correct that Pin Vout and Pin VBIAS do not have voltage outputs?
If there is leakage voltage, please tell us the percentage of leakage voltage based on 3.3[V].

  • Hello Jaehak,

By "unexpected behavior" I mean the device is not specified within those operating conditions and therefore could exhibit characteristics not defined. We can not make any guarantees outside of the datasheet. I would suggest following the recommended operating conditions
