LP8866-Q1: About AUTOMATIC PHASE SHIF and Dimming Mode

Hi All,

I have a question about LP8866.

The resistance of R_LED_SET is set to 3.9kΩ. Automatic Phase Shift is 60 °.
Is Automatic Phase Shift Off when Dimming Mode is set to Direct PWM Mode?
Also, if Dimming Mode is set to Phase-shift PWM Mode, does Automatic Phase Shift turn off?

Yes, when dimming mode set to Direct PWM mode, Phase shift will be off.

Not sure about your 2nd question. when dimming mode is set to phase-shift PWM mode, automatic Phase Shift should be turn on.

I asked because I want to know when Automatic Phase Shift turns on and off.

Is there a description in the datasheet when Automatic Phase Shift is on and off?

I don't think automatic phase shift status can be changed after the light is lighted up. The external R_MODE resister defines the dimming mode. See table 7-7 dimming Mode Configuration in the datasheet. thx!
