Hello E2E,
I want to do reduce wires at evaluation with the EVM. Can it connect TP5 and TP10 with DC390V input voltage?
The device remains UCC256301.

ACGUY

Hi, ACGUY
First of all, UCC25630X is not recommended to use in new project, TI has upgrade version UCC25640X
It is not allowed to connect in the way you showed, because HV pin has X-CAP discharge feature which need AC ZERO crossing signal. If HV voltage is DC, the x-cap discharge will be enable.
if the device is UCC256402, it is OK to connect HV to DC source through resistor since HV pin of UCC256402 has no X-cap discharge feature.
