TPS274160: Timing issues

Hello,

At the TPS274160 datasheet, it is stated that the Td,rise, is maximum 150uSec.

But dV/dton, which is one of Td,rise parts, is 0.1V/uSec, which means that with 24V supply, the rise time from 10% to 90% can be 240uSec.

In this case the Td,rise should be maximum 90uSec + 240uSec = 330uSec, which is larger than the stated 150uSec.

Am I missing something?

Hi Asaf,

Sorry for the delayed reply. For now, please follow the Trise and Tfall time to estimate the timing. The dv/dt time in the datasheet is too conservative - the real performance of the part will have faster dv/dt than the min value specified in the datasheet.

Thanks for your answer.

What I understand from your answer is the that the total rise time (include the delay from the ENx to the output) is Td,rise , and that the rise time alone is: Td,rise - Td,on. (For fall time it is the same)

For now I won't use the dV/dton parameter.

Am I correct?
