My customer inquires TPS2490 power limit behavior, could you support?
*Datasheet shows "If the constant power limit is not used, PROG should be tied to VREF through a 47-kΩ resistor.". When PROG pulled up to VREF, in other word, power limit is disabled, can current limit work? Or no protection work, if PROG pulled high?
*Can user set enable / disable power limit on-the-fly? E.g. after start up with power limit, can user disable power limit?

Please see the responses in the order of your queries.
1) Current limit will work.
2) It may be implemented using the following circuit.
However, we have not verified the functionality of this circuit in past using hardware. Therefore, please request the customer to test this circuit in hardware before finalizing it. Kindly note that, PG pin of TPS2490 will not have gate drive capability to turn on or off a signal MOSFET. Hence, an additional driver with inverting output will be required.
