TPS6594-Q1: difference between TPS659412 and TPS659413

Part Number: TPS6594-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TDA4VM

Hi team,

now, customer use TPS659412+TPS659411 for TDA4VM power. but in another A/N, it suggest use TPS659413+TPS659411.

1. which one is recommend?

2. what's the difference between TPS659412 and TPS659413?

3. if they change to TPS659413 from TPS659412, does the hardware and sequence need to be change?

thank you

  • Can you please confirm the part numbers the customer is using? Are they using the TPS65941212 +TPS65941111? I want to confirm they aren't using too outdated of a device pair.

    1. The TPS65941213 will RTM later this month. Moving to the TPS65941213+TPS65941111 (PDN-0C pair) from the TPS65941212+ TPS65941111 (PDN-0B pair) is highly dependent on their project schedule. If their schedule allows it, we are recommending customers move to the PDN-0C pair.

    2. There are 2 primary differences: a. FB_B3 is monitoring a 1.1V signal on the '1212 and monitoring a 3.3V signal on the '1213 b. the GPIO mapping of '1213 provides support for separate ESM signals. (See attached)

    3. Yes, changing to '1213 will require some very minor changes to the schematic and routing.

  • Hi Michael,

attached picture not clear, can you sent it again?

can you share the latest datasheet of TPS65941212 /TPS65941111 and TPS65941213
