Hi Team,
Here are some question need your help:
1. The current MUC EVM small board uses MSP5969 but the picture is MSP430F5234. Which MCU TPS23881 is mainly used now.

2. Is the circuit diagram of TIDA-050026-23881 the same as PSEMCUDAUEVM-082, TPS23881EVM-008, BOOST-PSEMTHR-007?
3. Can the transmission packet reach 10G?
4. Does Outdoor's surge and ESD TI have experience design reference?
Thanks and best regards,
Jamie
Hi Jamie,
1. If you are looking at the TPS23881EVM-008, this pairs with the MSP5969 launchpad and the TI.com reference code on the TI.com reference page. If you're looking at the TPS23881EVM-083 or FirmPSE reference design TIDA-050026, then it pairs with the MCU daughter card that uses the MSP4305234 and FirmPSE GUI. The two different solutions shouldn't be mixed. I also recommend looking at the app note below that goes into detail on the type of PSE solution customer needs and what collateral and tools/EVMs will pair with that type of soluiton.
2. The circuit for the MSP daughter card is the same as PSEMCUDAUEVM-082 as shown in the schematic's orderable name. This is for the 24 port firmPSE solution. It is not the same as -008 or -007 solution which is more for basic evaluation and basic reference code testing of the PSE.
3. This is more of a data transformer question. when i look at the datasheet, it looks like it can go up to 1G so i recommend looking for a data transformer/magjack that can be rated for higher speeds and still support .bt power.
4. Please see below TI design that uses the TPS23861; however, surge is a system level solution so really they can use the same surge solution except with the TPS23881 if necessary.
