Our customer’s notebook project encountered a new problem with BQ24715. When the notebook is turned on, after plugged in a power adapter, there will be a noise in the PHASE pin output. The waveform diagram is as follows.
But after switching to PWM mode (the current PWM freq=1MHz ), the noise disappeared.
When the device is off, plug in the power adapter and there will be no noise problems. Therefore, we believe that the cause of noise is related to the load switching. We are wondering if this phenomenon is normal? If not, do you have any good suggestions to avoid this problem.
