Hi

I'm Mark, QA Manager from Unigen Corp in California USA (

We are using many parts that made by TI.

Recently, we have a quality issue with TI part: TPS53515R

The defect phenomenon is NO POWER. We suspect the component have internal cracked. Thus we need to do FA for this case by CSAM method

But, we need to have structure design of this part to conduct this FA. Could you help to provide me the Structure design of the part TPS53515R within today?

    Hi Mark,

    This is Peter James Miller, a senior applications and customer support engineer for TI's mid-voltage Buck Switching Regulator group, which supports the TPS53515 device.  The TPS53515 device uses a TI proprietary multi-chip construction that I am not certain can be discussed in the public forum of the E2E.  I will need to check with our Quality and Failure Analysis teams before we can provide an internal structure.

    Do you have a TI Technical Sales Representative (TSR) who supports Unigen Corp who we can work with?

    Mark,

    I have spoken with our quality and FA teams, and we are unable to publically share the internal structure of the TPS53515 converter.  They would like you to work with the TSR in your area to return the questionable device for FA here at TI.  If you would like to send me a message here with your e-mail address, I can put you in touch with your regional TSR and they can help you start the return material process.

    We bought the part through Arrow distributor. This is authorized distributor. So. please provide the structure design. I need to refer it to set up the prior FA at our company

    As I said in my previous response, the internal structure of the TPS53515 is a proprietary multi-chip construction and will not be shared in a public forum, whether the parts were purchased from an authorized distributor, directly from TI, or other channel.  If you can provide me with your e-mail address in an individual message, I can put you in touch with your regional technical sales representative so you can work with our internal quality team.
