Hello I have solar cells that put out 2 volts at 3.5 Amps. I need to boost the voltage to 12 volts with at least 500mA. I have been having trouble finding a boost converter that will fit these requirements without using an additional power supply other than the solar cells. Please let me know if anyone can help I'm open to any suggestions. Thanks

    The TPS43000 controller has a minimum input voltage of 1.8V. Figure 6 on datasheet page 12 gives the general circuit. I suggest recomputing the values for the inducotr, output capacitor, FET and diode for your application. Also, to boost efficiency, you might consider lowering the switching frequency (which will result in a larger inductor).
