UCD9090A: Communicating to the UCD9090A using an I2C master

Part Number: UCD9090A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCD9090

Hello we are using an I2C master (PCA9564) to communicate to the UCD9090A. It is a parallel to I2C bus controller.

Can we use standard I2C commands to communicate with the UCD9090A or do we need to use PMBus commands.

We are simply doing a read of the I2C bus (using address 104d) and we are not seeing an ACK from the UCD9090A.

We are sending a start/slave address/read and we do not get an ACK back.

Do we need to setup the UCD9090A in a way to ACK this command?

I have already programmed the UCD9090A Fimware with the Interface adapter and the firmware controls my PDN rails. we are now adding in a way to communicate with the UCD9090A in system without using the interface adapter.

Regards,

Guy
