TPS62901: IQ optimization

Hello,

we have tested the EVM for the TPS62901RPJR and measured around 6-9uA IQ current.

The datasheet mentions around 4uA IQ is possible. We looked up the schematic proposals in the datasheet and asking if with this proposal 4uA IQ is achivable?

Hi Alen,

4uA in the datasheet is typ value. The EVM is configured with external feedback with R1/R2. If you configure internal feedback with only R2 by removing R1 in your attached schematic. You will reduce Iq to around 4uA. It is achivable.

As Nancy mentioned, it is achievable.

Please see figure 6-1 and 6-2 for both typical and maximum IQ current.

just to clarify:

the attached schematic above should achive 4uA typ, because there is only external R2 and no R1 right?

The EVM circuit has R1 (453KOhm) and R2 (100KOhm) external.
