TPS2490: Minimum Inrush Current

Hi Team,

Our customer intends to use the TPS2490 for a 28V supply with 0.1A to 10A current range dependent to the load. Would the TPS2490 work at 0.1A inputs? The datasheet shows some procedures in reducing the initial input current step but we're quite not sure if it will be able to support down to 0.1A.

If the TPS2490 won't cover the minimum input current requirement, do we have other hot-swap controllers that can potentially achieve this?

    Hi Jejomar,

    TPS2490 can support load currents down to 0.1A. Since, you max load current is 10A, set the current limit threshold at 10A+15% = 11.5A.

    Please use TPS2490 design tool available under product folder for calculations.
