LM5066I: What is the OTP point, if no setting from I2C bus?

Hi expert,

What is the OTP in LM5066I, if no further setting from I2C host? I read the datasheet page 21 that shows the default value is 256 degrees(Celsius). but ABS shows 150 degrees and recommend is -40~125 degrees. We would like to know when OTP will be triggered?

Does that mean if no re-progrmming for the threshold, then we have no OTP, is my understanding correct?

Hi Oliver,

You're correct. OT_WARN_LIMIT (51h) and OT_FAULT_LIMIT (4Fh) need to be programmed.

However, according to the next paragraph, if input voltage is below the minimum operating voltage (10 V) with higher ambient temperature, MOSFET may be disabled because of higher power loss at LM5066I controller.
