BQ25606: inrush current

Part Number: BQ25606
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ALLIGATOR

Dear team

The current project has problems with inrush current when using BQ25606.

This project is a 4 port cradle, the IC used is BQ25606, and the VBUS of the 4 groups of lines are all the same source, there are switches on the front end of the IC,

When the battery is inserted and the voltage will provide to the IC .

When the IC starts, the inrush current will cause a voltage drop on their source, which will affect the status(STAT) of  other ports.

The customer used the EVM board for testing. DC_IN is the J1 VAC on the EVM, and I_in is the input current of the power supply.

They added a DIP switch between the power supply and VAC to simulate their condition of current.

They found that there is also an inrush current. Why is there such a large inrush current when the IC is started?

Many thanks

Denny
