BQ25616: replace BQ25606

Hello,

 Currently our CM wants to replace the BQ25606RGER with the BQ25616  equivalent.

There would be no changes to the PCB – just a straight replacement.

 It looks like the differences are minor- the BQ25616 can drive and external MOSFET (we wouldn’t use this), and there’s a longer charger safety timeout. Are there any areas of concern with this swap? Is the BQ25616 generally considered 100% pin-pin compatible with the BQ25606, and are customers regularly making this upgrade?

    Adam,

    6 Device Comparison Table on the d/s shows the key differences between the two devices. Please note that BQ25606 uses TS profile while BQ25616 uses hot/cold profile. It's better to replace the BQ25606 by BQ25616J to avoid TS circuitry change.
