TPS61372: Current limit description

Hi All,

I have 2 questions about the current limit description in the TPS61372 datasheet.

1. From the D/S of TPS61372, the 3.8A is the switch peak current limit.

Does it mean the Inductor peak current or the MOSFET(switch) average current?

2. If the 3.8A is inductor peak current, then from the block diagram.

How does it detect the current, what is the right mechanism?

Thank you for reaching out.

For your two questions about TPS61372:

1. 3.8A is the typ current limit spec and it is the inductor peak current, as well as MOSFET peak currnet limit.

2. The device detects the low side MOSFET current. When low side MOSFET turns on, the inductor current increases.
