TPS65217: looking for an alternative o r workaround

Hello Guys,

Our customer is using the TPS65217DRSLR to supply a AM335X Cortex A8 processor in one of their applications. The shortage on components have now put them in a critical state since they can no longer produce their products.

Is there any alternative or work around? Or newer CPU that solves the startup internally?
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I will check with with our planning on the latest supply status for the TPS65217 as well as the potential replacement solutions and will provide an update within the next 2-3 business days (by Oct-10-21 or Oct-11-21).

Hi Art,

As an alternate solution to power the AM335x processor, we are also promoting TPS650250. This is a hardware configurable PMIC with independent enable signals that is being used by multiple customers to power their SoCs. It has there Bucks and three LDOs (only one of the LDOs is low current ~30mA). Below are some links with additional information to get more familiar with this PMIC.
