UCC28950EVM-442: Gerber files Using Eagle

Genius 9880 points
Part Number: UCC28950EVM-442

Hi

Customer is want to know if the gerber files can be used in the EAGLE software.

According to them, they used the gerber files found in this link: https://e2e.ti.com/support/power-management-group/power-management/f/power-management-forum/885986/ucc28950evm-442-ucc28950evm-442

However, when customer tried importing the files in Eagle software, it shows intersecting lines just like in the image below. Is there a workaround for them to use the files in Eagle software?

Step down by the customer: 1581.Screenshots.zip

Customer just want to be able to see the complete evm-442 board PCB and then go from there if possible.

Regards,
Maynard

  • Hello,

TI does not use Eagle software to layout EVMs.  Presently they are using Altium and I believe that EVM that was created in 2010 used PADS to layout the board, which TI no longer uses.  However, the customer should be able to view the PCB with a GERBER viewer.

If Eagle has a Gerber importer the customer may be able to import the Gerber file.  You might want to contact the Eagle software applications team to help with the import of the Gerber files.

    Regards,
