Why is there a max current limit of 20A in the Webench App?

What can be done to achieve 35A?

Hi John,

That is just a supposed limitation due to thermals. It really depends on the specific application - input voltage, load current, switching frequency - as well as component selection including MOSFETs and inductor.

Please use the LM5146 to review component power losses and temperature rise.
