Hi,
is there any limitation to use BQ40z80 for high current/power application referring to the earlier post?
if yes, can i know the value?
thanks!

Hello Kim,
This would be dependent by the sense resistor. You will not want to exceed the coulomb counter range (-100-mV to 100-mV). We typically recommend a sense resistor between 1-mΩ to 3-mΩ range. So with a 1-mΩ sense resistor, you could handle up-to (100-mV)/(1-mΩ) = 100-A currents accurately.
If you require higher current applications, you could lower the sense resistor, but the accuracy of the gauge would be impacted.
