Hi team,
I would like to write the specified data to the ID ROM.
Who should I contact to purchase it from the TI Store?
Also, is there a minimum order quantity to request a program to ID ROM?
7.3.4 Customizing the bq2022A
The 64-bit ID identifies each bq2022A. The 48-bit serial number is unique and programmed by Texas Instruments. The default 8-bit family code is 09h; however, a different value can be reserved on an individual customer basis. Contact your Texas Instruments sales representative for more information.
Best Regards,
I asked because this is a very old device and there has never been a request of this kind. It will help to understand how it makes a difference.
The bq2022A has user programmable memory to store custom values that can serve the same function.
It looks like customer wants a 64 bit ID by changing the 0x09. Please point customer to bq2026 which has a 64 bit ID.
If a customer buys it from ti.store, can you program the custom value they want?
The recommendation was to use bq2026 but now i see that it is not very different for the question that you want answered.
I have assigned this thread to someone who can look into this in more detail.
