TLV810SEVM-019: 12s Battery independent cell protection

Hi,

I´m looking for a voltage detector able to detect cell low voltage conditions in each cell of a 12s battery pack. It would be placed on each line of the cell balance lines together with a P channel Mosfet, so it protects that cell from undesired undervoltage condition. Are there battery specific components with push-pull, active-high outputs? Are there other dedicated solutions for this kind of protection?

These protections would be placed between the BMS and the lipo pack, for cells protection in case of BMS failure.
I found TLV810S as a possible component, but this is not battery applications oriented. Are there other better (or more specific) components/solutions, or it would be a correct solution?

Hi,

I would suggest looking at our newest supervisor that consumes 250nA of current. The TLV810E and here are the OPNs that are currently available:

Any voltage supervisor would be able to monitor each battery cell.

Hi,

Thanks for the fast answer to the post. The TLV810E seems interesting, but the TLV810(Active HIGH) has only the 2.9V voltage compare option. Anyway, I am more confident creating a solution using components like this knowing that is a suitable solution.
