Hi,

As the TLC5955 is the only one available in stock with large quantities, I was wondering whether it’s possible to do multiplexing/scanning using additional microcontrollers?

Basically we want to achieve the matrix functionality available with LP5890, using the TLC5955.

Also, if TI has any application notes on how to do this, that would be really helpful!

Theoretically it can be achieved, but for the side effect matrix structure has, there also need some additional circuits to eliminate. How many LEDs you want to drive and what application you want to use LP5890?

Here is one reference LED matrix design using LP5024, which is also a direct-drive device.
