Hi Sir,

Our customer encountered a problem when using the BQ24045, that is, when the battery is charged for the first time after installation, about 2.5% of the battery cannot be charged full (The battery voltage should be charged above 4.3V, but some can only be charged to 4.191V ~4.26V. When recharge the battery, it can be charged to 4.3V). 

This problem will affect our customer's production efficiency and has no effect on the final product, so we need to know the cause of this problem and find the solution. Can u help to give us some suggestion for this problem?

    Hello Lumina,

    Is the battery rated for charging up to 4.35V? Many batteries packs include a protector to prevent overvoltage.

    Is there any load on the battery that would prevent it from reaching termination?

    For bq24045 we have rated the voltage regulation to 4.30 4.35 4.40 (min typical max).
