TPS650861: Programming for Xilinx 7EV

Part Number: TPS650861
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS650864

Hello,

We would like to program TPS650861 for Xilinx 7EV FPGA. Is there already a IPGUI project available that I can use?

If not, I'm thinking of using the same settings as TPS6508640 and modifying Buck1 to generate 0.9V for VCCINT_VCU and change the sequencing a little bit. Is there a IPGUI project available with TPS6508640 settings that I can use as a starting point?

  • Hi Rajat,

Thank you for the questions. The TPS65086x family is a great option for powering the Xilinx 7EV FPGA.

Multiple spins of the TPS650864 can be used for the Xilinx 7EV, depending on the desired setup. These spins include the TPS6508640, TPS65086401, and TPS6508641. For details on these spins, please see the section 8.3-8.5 of the TPS650864 Datasheet https://www.ti.com/lit/gpn/tps650864

If you want to create a custom setup for the TPS650861 similar to the TPS6508640, there are copies of the TPS650861 OTP generator with the TPS650864x settings in the TPS650861 product folder under Design and Development.

Here is a link to the TPS6508640 version of the OTP generator. https://www.ti.com/lit/zip/swcc027

    Thanks,

    Daniel W

  • Thanks, Daniel.

The reason I can't use the 40/401/41 parts as is the the VCU voltage rail. I'll modify the OTP setting for the custom TPS650861 part.
