UCC28019A: UCC28019 for a 600 Watt PFC

I need to design a 600 Watt PFC and I'm looking for the right controller.

I'm wondering if the UCC28019 is a good option, or if there is a better option.

In regards to the topology, can this be accomplished with a single controller, or do you recommend an interleaved controller?

Hi Eddie, the UCC28019 is a very good option for 600W. This can be accomplished with a single controller.

Thank you for the super fast response!!

This PFC will power a converter that will need to provide isolation and an 80VDC output for the 600Watts. Do you have a topology and controller that you would recommend for this second stage? I was thinking of an LLC for the topology, and possibly the UCC256404 or UCC256402?

Hi Eddie,

You could Implement the second stage with the LLC converter for your application. As you mentioned, you can use any of the devices in UCC25640x controller family.

Following table shows the differences between these devices.
