TPS7B86-Q1: TPS7B86-Q1

Part Number: TPS7B86-Q1

Hi Team,

I have been trying to simulate TPS7B86-Q1 model in pspice. I used the transient model given in the TI website for the simulation. As i import the part in pspice, i am not able to add anything to the part as it says 'Schematic editing disabled'. Could someoone please help me to figure out what the problem here is? I have attached a screenshot of the problem to this email.

Best regards,

Chintu

  • Hi Chintu,

I was able to download and simulate the TPS7B86-Q1 model without issue.

In the screenshot you attached it looks like you are in the symbol editor. To be able to place the part you will need to do a couple things. First, right-click on the Library folder on the left tab, click Add File, and select the TPS7B86-Q1_TRANS.OLB file from the downloaded .zip file.

Then, you will need to create a simulation profile (if there isn't already one) for the schematic you are working with. Go to Pspice -> Edit Simulation Profile -> Configuration Files -> Library. Click Browse and find the TPS7B86-Q1_TRANS.lib file from the downloaded .zip file. Then make sure you click Add to Design before closing the window.

The TPS7B86-Q1 library should now be available in the Place Part menu on the right.
