Good day.

Does this device have a variable current function?

i.e. the variable current function not only refers to AC/DC conversion, but also refers to the precise control and effective processing of power, frequency, voltage, and phase parameters in the power grid.

    Hi Art,

    The LM317 in voltage regulation will drive the necessary current to assure the output voltage is within the spec of the part, it will respond to output impedance changes, driving whatever current is necessary.

    If this is not what you meant could you specify more clearly what variable current you are talking about? The LM317 is not an AC/DC converter, nor does it generally deal with frequency as it is a DC/DC converter. could you specify a schematic and use case if the above is not what you are referring to?
