TPS548D22: About the peripheral components of Pin37 RESV_TRK

Hi team,

I find a weird thing about Pin37 RESV_TRK of TPS548D22, at datasheet pin function sector I see:

And at typical application schematic I see:

And I see this pin have internal connection, so could you tell me how the function of this pin? and how should we connect when designing?

Hi Andy,

When using the TPS548D22, please leave pin 37 as do not connect. Is it possible you have an out of date copy of the datasheet?

Here is the image from the updated datasheet (figure 20) showing the DNP on C46 to leave the RESV_TRK (pin 37) unconnected, which is different from the image you shared above.

Ok, I find the new datasheet. And for other "Don't connect pin" the pin name may NC, and the reference design will have no circuit out of this pin.

Why 37 pin of TPS548D22 named RESV_TRK? What is his meaning, I want to understand the role we consider when defining it.

Hi Andy,

The RESV_TRK pin in a device is typically used to adjust the voltage reference of the part externally. However, the TPS548D22 does not support this functionality, which is why we specify to leave the pin unconnected.
