Hello team,

I have a question about switching frequency of D-CAP regulators.

[Question]

Is there a method (or formula) for determining the switching frequency? (min, typ, max)

I have heard that, since the D-cap method is not a method of determining the switching frequency by the oscillator, the specification of the switching frequency is not listed in the datasheet as an IC itself.

However, I think the switching frequency in a stable state should be constant. Is there a way (formula) to determine the switching frequency in that state?

We want to know the variation of switching frequency in order to help customer evaluate our D-CAP products, if they are properly functioning in their system.

Hi ,

TPS563219A operate at a quasi-fixed frequency of 650 kHz at all loading condition. For frequency variation , You can refer Fig 7 and Fig 8 on page7 of Datasheet.

And also would like to promote TPS563211 and TPS563212 , the next gen of TPS563219A. These parts has a 8.5% accuracy of 600Khz/1.2Mhz with a truly fixed frequency .
