Hello, 

I see LM2940C specifies a very specific ESR window of stability, though i don't a frequency specified?  At what frequency is output capacitor ESR supposed to be within the specified limits since caps have different ESR at different frequency's?

    Hi Cody,

    For the output capacitors for our LDO's we use the resonant frequency of the capacitor to determine stability. If the resonant frequency satsifies the requirements for ESR, then the control loop will be stable.
