Hi team,

I have a monitor project, and I draw the block diagram.

I'd like to know if TI's TPS568230 can compete the MPS MP9189GQ–Z?
Because the input is 9V to 15V, MP9189 up to 22V I think customer use MPS solution is over spec, and I also think TI's solution is better than MPS. but they are not p2p.

Could you give me some advice on this, thanks.

Hello,

The TPS568230 can compete with the MP9189 in a 9-15V input. The TPS568230 is rated for up to 18Vin, which should provide the customer enough margin in this space. The TPS568230 also supports up to 8A of continuous output current where the MP9189 only supports 6A.

Could I tell my customer the TPS568230 is also suitable for TPS65988?
because the main concern is we do not have p2p. I need to find a strong reason to convince my customer.
The advantage of TPS568230

1.) We have more high current.

2.) Out spec is suitable for customer case.

Only these two I could tell my customer?

Hi Jason,

I would have to go through a more thorough comparison, but there are likely additional selling points such as efficiency, power dissipation, and load transient response. I have assigned Lishuang to the thread who will have more expertise on the TPS568230 as well.
