LP8863-Q1: Fault Recovery

Part Number: LP8863-Q1

Hi team,

The action for both Boost OVP High and Vin overvoltage are the same "Device goes to standby and waits until output voltage falls below threshold before restarting.", but one will enter fault recovery and one will not enter fault recovery? What is the rationale?

Is there more detailed explanation on fault recovery mode?

  • PY:

Thanks for your attention! both of them should not enter fault recovery status. They need to wait until input or output voltage falls below threshold before restarting. It should be typo

    About Fault recovery as below:

    8.4.9 Fault Recovery
Non-LED faults can trigger fault recover state. LED drivers, boost converter, and power-line FET are disabled for
200 ms, and the device attempts to restart from standby mode if EN is still high.

  • Hi Xiaoguang,

Thank you for your confirmation. This makes sense. Please help update the datasheet during next refresh. Thank you!
