BQ77216: Unused pin of BQ77216

Hi Expert,

I am reaching out for unused pin of bq77216 and bq76952. For example, if in 14 CELL system, according to BQ76952 datasheet, CELL 14 should connect to VC16 and VC15. But in BQ77216 datasheet, V16/V15/V14 should join together to connet top of CELL 14.

Does bq77216 support V16/V15 connecting with CELL 14 and V15/V14/V13 joining together conneting CELL 14 bottom?

Hello Jimmy,

Yes, the BQ77216 support the configuration that you provided. The BQ77216EVM User's Guide mentions that this can be done in Section 3.2.

Does it imply that 16P & 15 can connect a CELL and 14P & 15P can connect together? Thanks!

Hello Jimmy,

Yes that's the case. You should be able to short any unused cells.
