Hi LP8556 Team,
For BRT_MODE, the practical difference between 01b and 11b is not very clear. As the datasheet says, when BRT_MODE=01b, both the Brightness and detected PWM are multiplied first, then run through the curve shaper. In BRT_MODE=11b, only Brightness is run through the curve shaper while the detected PWM is multiplied afterwards.
What is the observable difference between the two? The related question seems to imply that if PWM is multiplied after the "curve shaper" (BRT_MODE=11b), the output brightness response is faster. How much faster is it? Also - is the "curve shaper" block the "advanced slope" features described in Section 8.3.2.9? If this feature isn't being used, is there any difference between BRT_MODE=01b and BRT_MODE=11b?
Thanks,
Justin
