BQ25723: input/output MLCC

Part Number: BQ25723

Assuming a 45W adapter, it says that the following capacity is required, I would like to use 22uF MLCC instead of 10uF. Is that okay?
(Because I want to save PCB space)

Input capacity: 40uF (4x10uF) → 2 * 22uF (44uF)
Output capacity: 70uF (7x10uF) → 4 * 22uF (88uF)

Best regards,

Kagawa

  • Hi Kagawa-san,

It is the effective capacitance after derating that you want to look at. If the capacitor you use can fulfill the effective capacitance recommendation, then it would be ok.

These 2 tables from the datasheet would be helpful.

Thanks and I hope this helps,

    Peng
