I need advice for choosing IC for solar powered autonomous system. Our system charge battery and power the device in the day and battery discharge for powering device at night. aprroximately this use 20% of lead acid baterry capacity (100ah). Charge to 100% in daylight discharge to 80% at night. How i can track the health of battery and determine EOS state? Battery works every time and never rest.

Hello Artem,

Lead acid batteries are only supported by some of out top of stack gauges. You will need to get at least a 37% change in DOD though, and a rest period if you use impedance track gauging: https://e2e.ti.com/support/power-management-group/power-management/f/power-management-forum/733183/faq-bq34z100-g1-how-do-i-set-up-the-bq34z100-g1-for-gauging-with-lead-acid-pba

If you use the BQ34110 instead, you will need to do a full discharge to allow FCC to update every so often to keep the gauging accuracy. If the accuracy is not as critical you can use the EOS detection feature of the BQ34110, which will give you the resistance of the battery (Rcell) to determine EOS.
