BQ34110: How to use BQ34110 to measure the current of wired power supply

Part Number: BQ34110

Hi

I have two questions about BQ34110.

Could you please tell me how can i measure the current of wired power supply with BQ34110?

If it is feasible, compared with battery power supply, a large number of load tests need to be done for verification when battery power supply is used. When wired power supply is used, only current collection is done. Is load test verification still needed?

Thanks a lot.

  • Hello Sam,

The gauge measures the voltage difference across it's sense resistor, if you put the sense resistor in the current path and calibrate the gauge it will measure the current flowing.

I'm not sure what kind of tests you are referring to, you should test your system to meet the internal or external standards needed for the product.

    Sincerely,

    Wyatt Keller
