bq24170 nowhere to be found,

Hi

bq24170 looks like a suitable part for our application, but it is stuck on 6 months lead time everywhere... It may not be in full production yet?

We have moderate experience with chargers and the range of TI chargers is truly bewildering.  Can you suggest an available alternative? We have 4 (2s2p) LiPoly cells and we are looking for a standalone charger with a status pin and power path management.

    The longer lead time is caused by Japan earthquake. Now, the bq24170 is being transferred to RFAB (Dallas). So, it should be available at end of June. MiHo (Japan) will also recovery in July. If you put your order early, you can get the part early.  Please contact your local sales.

    If you ask few samples, I hope I can find few samples for you.

    So far, bq2417x is only standalone charger with power path management.
