TLV767: TLV76708 and TLV76701

Part Number: TLV767

Hi Expert,

Could you please let me know the difference between  TLV76708 and  TLV76701?

TLV76708 (0.8V Fixed version)

TLV76701 (Adjustable version)

However, FB voltage is 0.8V, right? (does TLV76708 have internal resistor between Vout to FB? )

If we add resistors divider to TLV76708's SNS pin, will it work as adjustable voltage version?

Thanks

Muk

  • Hi Muk,

The TLV76708 has 2 internal resistors, as shown in the block diagram for the fixed-output versions. It is difficult to know what the values of the internal resistors are since they are only specified within a (relatively wide) range, but in theory you should be able to connect a resistor from SNS to OUT to change the effective DC impedance of the top feedback resistor.

    Regards,

    Nick

  • Thanks Nick,

is it meaning TLV76708 has R1=531kohm(minimum value) and R2=8.5Mohm(maximum value), because the reference voltage and the output voltage are same?

    Thanks

  • Hi Yusuke,

I do not know for sure, but I would assume that SNS would be shorted to the input of the error amplifier or something similar, even though it is not shown in the block diagram. Using the resistor values gives a minimum voltage of 0.85V, so I don't think the 0.8V fixed version has quite the same architecture. It may be something slightly different, such as an additional switch or something because the 2pF capacitor might be required for loop stability.

    Nick

  • Thanks, Nick-san!!
