UCD3138: Fault and Burst Turn Off for PSFB (In UCD3138 Integrated Power Controller Family Errata)

Hi experts,

- In the Silicon Errata of UCD3138 (Document: sluz003A), section 2.3, on page 3. It says when "fault" and "burst mode" turn off for PSFB, sometimes 1 out of 4 DPWM pins may not shut off.

- I don't understand the solution "Use Firmware Interrupt to shut other DPWM pin off". What interrupt does it mean here? Especially during a burst mode.

Jack, our EVM codes generally use the fast interrupt for handling faults. So as part of the fault handling interrupt, you can shut off all the DPWM pins to make sure they're all off.

Hi Ian,

- How about during burst mode? Burst mode can on/off DPWMs while not shutting down the PSU. How to trigger a burst mode off.

During Burst mode, one of DPWM is not turned off. It is ok to have one DPWM of four always on. This happens only to 32k UCD3138. Fast interrupt doesn't help to burst mode.
