BQ24610: How to change Battery Charging Complete 90% ?

Part Number: BQ24610

Charger IC : BQ24610

Battery : 8.4V(normal 726V) / 14.7A . ( 2S3P. INR21700)

If charge up to 90%, I want the battery to finish charging and  charging-complete -LED turn on.

Viset2 : 1.4A

If Viset2 : 1.4A, → If 0.9C is charged, is it charing-Complete state?

If Viset2 : 1.4A, is it SAT1:0 / STAT2:1?

  • Hello,

The BQ24610 will leave Constant Current mode when the battery reaches the desired regulation voltage. It will then enter Constant Voltage mode and start to decrease the charge current. As shown in the datasheet, "When VTTC is valid, termination is detected while the voltage on the VFB pin is higher than the VRECH threshold AND the charge current is less than the ITERM threshold." When termination is detected, the charge current will stop.

What is the battery voltage when you are trying to terminate? What charge voltage regulation did you set as well?

    Thanks,

    Mike Emanuel
