BQ27742-G1: Can unseal seal switch frequently

Hi team,

Using bq27742.

The customer has the following issues:

1. Read OT Dsg of Safety class in Block Data, do they need unseal?

2. After turn on the device, read unseal every time, and then seal again. Will there be any side effects with this more frequent unseal for a long time?

Could you help check this case? Thanks.

    Hello Cherry,

    Repeated unseal/seal is not recommended.

    Data flash is not read by system. The customer may have misunderstood. In this case customer should read SafetyStatus() register which does not require unseal.
